For the first time, Moeve is the official sponsor of the winter edition of the international youth football tournament traditionally held at the end of each year by LALIGA and the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation. The LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament is one of the most important and widely followed events in youth football, and according to the organizers, it is the most prestigious in the world in the U13 category. It is where great football legends such as Iker Casillas, Fernando Torres, and Andrés Iniesta took their first steps, and more recently, Lamine Yamal in 2019.
The 29th LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament consists of 16 teams belonging to renowned clubs in Europe. Starting tomorrow, December 27, and continuing until Monday, December 29, hundreds of young players—who usually play in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, or Germany—will gather in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to play 31 matches in the 7-a-side football format. The main new development this year is that the venue chosen is the Estadio de Gran Canaria, where Unión Deportiva Las Palmas usually plays its home games in LALIGA HYPERMOTION.
The teams are divided into four groups that will play a single round of matches, starting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday. After that, the top two teams in each group will play single-match playoffs until the grand finale on Monday, the 29th, at 6:00 p.m. All matches will be televised and can be watched live in Spain on Teledeporte, GOL, DAZN LALIGA, Movistar LALIGA TV, Vamos, LALIGA TV BAR, LALIGA HYPERMOTION, LALIGA+, and LALIGA Inside.
José María Solana, Global Brand Director at Moeve, said that “supporting the LALIGA FC FUTURES tournaments means supporting talent, because it is the biggest showcase for youth football that we have and, therefore, the first time we can see some of tomorrow's big stars in this sport compete. Young people are also a very important asset to our company and to society as a whole. We must help them in every way possible because the future is brighter when we all play together.”
With the winter edition of the LALIGA FC FUTURES tournament, the energy company is strengthening its partnership with LALIGA and Liga F as the leading sponsor of all its competitions, which also include LALIGA EA SPORTS, Liga F Moeve, LALIGA HYPERMOTION, and LALIGA GENUINE Moeve. Through this agreement, the three organizations seek to promote important social values such as teamwork, integration, diversity, and the spirit of self-improvement. Furthermore, in line with its commitment to real transformation, it is developing the Technical Office for Environmental Sustainability to help clubs reduce their carbon footprint.
