- Fifty teams from 17 regions and territories will participate in the tournament final at the Federation facilities in Las Rozas between June 19 and 21
- In its first full year as the title sponsor of the competition, Moeve has promoted diversity and inclusion in sports as key to building a better future for all
The eighth season of LALIGA GENUINE Moeve concludes this weekend in Las Rozas, with Moeve as the competition's title and main sponsor. The tournament, made up of players with intellectual disabilities, will feature a total of 75 eight-a-side football matches at the Federation's facilities in Las Rozas (Madrid) throughout this weekend, from June 19 to 21.
In total, 50 teams from 15 Autonomous Communities, in addition to Ceuta and Andorra, will come together to play the final matches that will determine the standings in each of the three groups: Sportsmanship, Respect, and Teamwork. In this season, which saw record participation, each group will have two champions: one being the team that has achieved the best competition results; and the other, the one that earns the most Fair Play points in line with the principles of the competition, which emphasize sharing over competing.
During this final phase, Moeve will support the organization with more than twenty volunteers, as well as the Moeve Mixed Zone, a new climate-controlled space for players and fans where they can enjoy audiovisual content, interviews, testimonials, and various activities related to LALIGA GENUINE Moeve.
“The partnership between Moeve and FUNDACIÓN LALIGA has established itself as a very special alliance to promote values that help build a better society. At Moeve, we want to contribute to a better future through sustainable energy and chemistry, and LALIGA GENUINE Moeve reminds us that major transformations are driven by people, with their optimism, authenticity, and ability to help one another and build a team. That is why this competition not only transforms the lives of its participants but also transforms those of us lucky enough to experience it firsthand."
José María Solana, Global Brand Director at Moeve
Olga de la Fuente, director of FUNDACIÓN LALIGA, highlighted that "each season of LALIGA GENUINE Moeve shows us that football can be a powerful tool for social change. This competition not only provides a space for playing sports, but also promotes the inclusion, autonomy, and personal development of hundreds of players with intellectual disabilities. We are very proud to have completed an entire season alongside Moeve, a strategic partner that shares our vision of building a more diverse, respectful, and equitable society through sports."
To mark the end of the eighth season of LALIGA GENUINE Moeve, and one year into its partnership with LALIGA and Liga F, the energy company is strengthening its relationship with both organizations as the main sponsor of all their competitions. These include LALIGA EA SPORTS, Liga F Moeve, LALIGA HYPERMOTION, and the FC FUTURES tournaments, as well as the new Liga Futura Moeve, the youth tournament featuring clubs from Liga F Moeve, which has just held its first season.
The partnership between Moeve, LALIGA, and Liga F seeks to have a positive impact on society, leaving no one behind, promoting the values of sports — such as teamwork, inclusion, diversity, and the spirit of striving for excellence — and sharing the motto "The world is our playing field; the future is brighter when we all play."
