Spain’s first isopropyl alcohol plant, the key ingredient in disinfectant gels
We have commissioned the first plant in Spain to produce isopropyl alcohol (IPA), the key ingredient in disinfectant gels used by the medical and pharmaceutical industries, among many other applications. With an investment of more than €83 million, the project represents a major step forward for the industry, incorporating some of the most advanced and innovative technologies available today.
Located in the heart of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, the new plant benefits from its integration with Moeve’s chemical and energy complex in Huelva. In addition, it is designed to use renewable energy and renewable and circular feedstocks, strengthening its position as an international benchmark for sustainability and innovation.
