During the week of International Women’s Day, Moeve held an event with Liga F for employees of the energy company to share insights on leadership, the value of teamwork, and the importance of female role models. The high-level meeting brought together three members of the company’s Executive Committee alongside the top representative of Spain’s professional women’s club football competition.
The session provided a forum for Moeve executives Bettina Karsch, Executive Vice President of People, Organization & Culture; Carmen de Pablo, CFO and Director of Strategy and Sustainability; and Alice Acuña, Executive Vice President of Trading and Commercial Integration to share personal experiences with Liga F President Beatriz Álvarez.
“Women’s football has become increasingly professional over the past decade, and surveys show that more and more girls say they want to become football players when they grow up. That’s not a coincidence. Football has a real social impact. The more female role models we have, the more future leaders we help inspire.
At Moeve, we believe role models play a critical role in shaping aspirations and opportunities. That’s why we’re proud to work with Liga F to promote positive social change through sport and help build a better future.”

Álvarez added: “It’s especially meaningful to share moments like this with a company like Moeve, which sees sport as a powerful tool for social change and has become a strategic partner for Liga F thanks to its firm commitment to sustainability, equality and future vision. The growth we’re seeing in the competition isn’t just reflected in audiences, stadium attendance, or our digital community. It’s also something deeper: more and more girls and young women see our players as role models. If women’s football can help expand what the next generation believes is possible, then we’ll also be helping to shape future female leaders across society.”
Liga F Moeve is winning
The early results of the competition’s professional era are promising. Television audiences grew by 90% last season and, now well into its fourth year as a professional competition, Liga F continues to expand its audiovisual reach following the new agreement to broadcast matches free-to-air on RTVE (Teledeporte and RTVE Play) and TV3 (Esport3 and 3cat). These broadcasters join Gol Play, TEN, and DAZN, the streaming platform that has covered the competition weekly since its launch in 2022.
Liga F Moeve has also seen steady growth in stadium attendance. It has more than doubled compared with the competition’s pre-professional stage less than five years ago, and last season alone (2024/25) recorded a 7% increase in average annual attendance. In addition, this season’s 2025/26 El Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid surpassed 35,000 spectators for the third consecutive season.
On social media, Liga F now has around 1.2 million followers across all its profiles, growing by more than 50% since the end of last season—an increase of more than 400,000 followers. These results reflect the progress the competition is making and reinforce the alliance between Liga F and Moeve, which became title sponsor at the end of last season, to continue promoting the professionalization of women’s football and its social impact as a reference point for future generations.
This sponsorship forms part of the broader partnership between Moeve, Liga F, and LALIGA, through which the energy company has become the first sponsor of all the sports competitions organized by the two entities, giving its name to both Liga F Moeve and LALIGA GENUINE Moeve, the competition for people with intellectual disabilities. The agreement reflects the company’s corporate purpose of promoting values such as collaboration and teamwork, inclusion, diversity, resilience, and talent. Under the motto “the world is our playing field, the future is brighter when we all play together,” Moeve, Liga F, and LALIGA aim to generate a positive impact on society—leaving no one behind—through the powerful platform that sport provides.
