- Moeve and Fundación Ávila are collaborating on this initiative that promotes astronomy, culture and photography of the night sky in rural regions
- Navas de Oro (Segovia) is hosting the launch of a series of four events that will take place over the summer in Calamocha (Teruel), the Aran Valley (Lleida) and Cumbres Mayores (Huelva), culminating in an exhibition from October 22 to November 21 at the Palacio Los Serrano in Ávila
The Segovian town of Navas de Oro is hosting the first edition of Astroexperiencias, an innovative series of activities resulting from the collaboration between Moeve and Fundación Ávila, which aims to bring astronomy, culture and photography of the night sky to rural areas and promote their natural resources.
Each Astroexperiencias event is focused on popularizing astronomy, weaving a narrative that connects the landscape, people and night sky. The program, aimed at local residents and visitors to the area, consists of two activities: a nighttime photography workshop, where participants learn professional techniques for capturing the night sky and a laser-guided stargazing session to identify constellations and other features of the night sky while discovering stories, interesting facts and legends associated with the area.
Astroexperiencias is part of Moeve's "Caminos de Futuro" initiative, which stems from active listening and collaboration with local stakeholders to raise awareness of routes in different parts of Spain, highlighting the heritage of each region. Following the opening event, this will continue its tour through other regions linked to the first "Caminos de Futuro" routes: Calamocha (Teruel) on July 8, Valle de Arán (Lleida) on July 17, and Cumbres Mayores (Huelva) on September 4. The initiative will culminate in an exhibition featuring a selection of the best images taken by participants during the activities, which will be on display from October 22 to November 21 at the Palacio Los Serrano in Ávila.
“Our commitment to regional development drives us to continue strengthening the social fabric and promoting the unique resources of each area through the creation of shared value. This project with Fundación Ávila combines culture, knowledge, and the night sky to revitalize the local economy and reinforce a sense of pride in belonging to these communities and a deep connection to the region."
Isabel Martínez, head of Social License and Partnerships at Moeve.
Carlos Carrera, director of Fundación Ávila, stated that: “The Astroexperiencias events represent a clear commitment to social innovation and the revitalization of rural areas, in line with our mission to connect culture, heritage, and education to create opportunities for the future. This partnership with Moeve reinforces our shared vision that knowledge, participation and the value of the environment are key drivers of progress for people and communities”.

Building the future in our regions
Through this proposal, Moeve continues to advance its "Building the Future" social license initiative, which promotes the company’s commitment to regional development and collaboration with local stakeholders. Under this initiative, the energy company is already promoting "Caminos de Futuro", an action to raise awareness of routes in different parts of Spain with the goal of promoting the natural, historical, cultural, and social heritage of these regions and fostering rural tourism and economic activity. Moeve has launched a website that showcases the heritage of these routes and the places to visit.
Fundación Ávila is consolidating a strategic approach that is increasingly focused on sustainability, social innovation and regional revitalization. It has developed projects that connect culture, heritage, education, and rural development, convinced that these areas are essential tools for strengthening local communities and creating opportunities for the future.
