José María Solana holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a postgraduate qualification in Executive Management from IE Business School. He has more than 25 years of professional experience, during which he has held a variety of roles across sales, supply chain, business, marketing, strategy and innovation.
He joined the company in 1998 and has since held several positions across the organization before being appointed CEO of Moeve Chemicals, at which point he also became a member of Moeve's Executive Committee.
Over the years, Solana has led a profound transformation of Moeve Chemicals, driving new organizational models, a renewed commercial structure and an innovative go-to-market strategy. These initiatives have had a significant impact on both the company and its business performance. In 2025, he expanded his responsibilities by assuming the role of Executive Vice President (EVP) of Moeve's Corporate Brand.
As CEO of Moeve Chemicals and EVP of Moeve's Corporate Brand, José María Solana leads the transition towards a new generation of sustainable chemical products while helping to shape the strategy and evolution of the Group’s corporate brand.
