Cepsa is launching a new edition of its Open Days, an initiative that will take place on April 21st, 22nd 28th and 29th and May 5th and 6th at the Tenerife Refinery.
On those days, visitors will have the chance to learn about the Company's activities on the Canary Islands, as well as the different countries in which it operates, and the many unknown applications that oil has in our daily lives.
For the director of Cepsa in the Canaries, José Manuel Fernández-Sabugo, the Tenerife Open days are special since "the Tenerife Refinery was the embryo of Cepsa in 1930, the year it was founded. It was this place that witnessed the birth of a Company that now has a major international presence and a high technical capacity and ability to adapt that have made it a leader in the energy market."

During the Open Days, which are held on an annual basis, Cepsa's contribution as a leader in supplying energy to the Archipelago is highlighted. The Company facilitates access to all types of land, sea and air fuels. As such, Cepsa, which provides around 80% of the seven Islands' energy supply, has high-capacity storage park at the facilities of its Tenerife refinery, as well as storage and supply factories at the ports and airports of the Canary Islands. Cepsa also has an extensive network of service stations and a direct sales team that allow it to get to any place, wherever its customers need it.
Following an initial explanatory presentation, each session will include a tour inside the refinery, with a stop at the distribution plant, where visitors can see how fuels are loaded into over 200 tanks that are received daily. There will also be a visit to the viewpoint from where the La Hondura Maritime Terminal can be seen, with its wharfs for loading and unloading products, as well as a general panorama of the facility.
The attendees at the Open Days will also witness the high safety, environmental protection, energy efficiency, innovation and quality standards that govern all of Cepsa's activities.
This initiative is in addition to the various institutional, educational, associational and technical visits the Company carries out annually in order to show itself to the outside world and promote closer ties with the community.
