- Over the past five years, the Company has provided a tank with aviation fuel to the island for the summer seaplane
For the fifth year in a row, Cepsa is to take part in the anti-fire campaign that is carried out each summer on the island of La Gomera. Through its subsidiary, Cepsa Aviación, the Company will again offer support to the Civil Protection and Emergency Response Service of the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands, facilitating the fuel required by the anti-fire seaplane, located at the island's airport, as part of the fire prevention campaign.
This time, the summer campaign has been brought forward a few weeks compared to 2016, and will end on 31 October.

As such, Cepsa maintains its commitment to La Gomera by placing a tank at the airport with 20,000 liters of kerosene to be used by the anti-fire seaplane, thus aiding its daily surveillance and monitoring tasks over the island and facilitating a fast response time should the need arise. In addition, the Company has staff available 24/7 who are ready to act in the event of an emergency.
Through this initiative, Cepsa seeks to contribute to keeping the island safe, working on preventing one of the most present threats during summertime - fires. For the Company, safety is one of the values that defines it and that affects all aspects of its activities, thus contributing to fostering a culture of safety among its professionals, both inside and outside its work centers.
