In the heart of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche natural park, we find Arroyomolinos de León. With barely a thousand inhabitants, the true legacy of this village lies in its people and their ability to build a future together.
Travel with us and discover the stories of Juanjo, Jara, Manuel, and Isabel. They are united by their love for their village, which gives them the motivation they need to pursue projects that revitalize this rural environment.
AlmaNatura came to life in this village in 1997. This pioneering project has become a benchmark in understanding the connection between the local and global environments from a unique perspective.
In love with her village and the relaxed lifestyle she leads there, Jara tells us about the origins of Arroyomolinos, which was originally a settlement of people from León that came to repopulate the area, hence its name, and originally had an economy based on water mills.
Manuel has spent his life making this village grow. At the age of 14, he started working as a laborer and now, more than 40 years later, he is preparing to hand over his business to his son, who will inherit this legacy.
She left the city to return to her village, to the workshop where her mother taught her to sew. In the family business, Isabel enjoys the gift of working side by side with her mother and understanding what each other is thinking with just a glance.
Arroyomolinos de León has shown us the strength of human legacy, of people who believe in the power of collaboration and the positive impact it has on their community. It also proves how with vision and commitment, local initiatives can transcend borders and bring about important changes.
