How did we do it?
We have changed the scheme of Fractionation unit, the last stage of the process of manufacture of phenol and acetone. The functions did the distillation column E-5105, with a high energy consumption, they will be made now by the phenol purification reactor and the distillation column E-5106.
The result
- We get the products, phenol and acetone, with the same quality as before.
- We reduce the energy consumption in the production of phenol and acetone.
- We avoid the emission of CO2 to the atmosphere, to an estimated quantity of 7,000 ton/year.
