Construction work on our 2G biofuel plant in Palos de la Frontera (Huelva) is progressing as planned, with production set to begin early next year.
Once it has started up, we will have the largest 2G biofuel industrial complex in Southern Europe.
This project strengthens our position as a strategic partner for sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as industry or air, maritime, and heavy-duty road transportation.

Once it has started up, we will be able to produce more than one and a half million tons of 2G biofuels such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), HVO 100 renewable diesel, and biogas.
With the start of operations, which is scheduled for early 2027, this facility will become a European industrial leader that could prevent up to 3 million tons of CO2 emissions per year.

With a cumulative investment of 1.2 billion euros, it will have a flexible SAF and renewable diesel production capacity of up to 500,000 tons per year.
Moreover, it will generate a total of 2,000 jobs — both direct and indirect — during the construction and operation phases, boosting the local industrial sector and establishing Andalusia as a European hub for sustainable fuels and energy.
