- She was accompanied by directors of Moeve, the mayor of Palos de la Frontera, and regional delegates of the Huelva local government
- Moeve has emphasized the importance of these meetings in order to continue advancing towards a more sustainable energy and production system in Andalusia
- At Laguna Primera de Palos she highlighted Moeve's pioneering role in biodiversity projects, speaking in front of over 150 students from schools in Palos de la Frontera
On behalf of Moeve, the institutions were welcomed by Antonio Joyanes, vice president of Energy Parks, and Jorge Acitores, park director. In addition, they were accompanied by Teresa Mañueco, director of the Moeve Foundation.
During the tour, the delegation could see firsthand some of the most representative facilities of the energy complex, such as the Control Room, where key production and energy efficiency processes are monitored in real time, and the processing units.
The upcoming public presentation of the La Rábida Energy Park Environmental Declaration, validated by the EMAS system, was also announced. This initiative, promoted annually by Moeve as a demonstration of its commitment to transparency, marked a milestone by being a pioneer in its implementation.
One of the highlights of the day was a visit to the natural environment of Laguna Primera de Palos, where an environmental education activity was carried out for children from Palos de la Frontera, concluding with the release of a Eurasian Eagle-Owl in this protected area that coexists harmoniously with the park’s industrial facilities. This enclave, of high ecological value, represents Moeve’s contribution to environmental integration and biodiversity conservation, in line with the principles of sustainable development that guide the company's activity.
For Jorge Acitores, these visits "serve as a meeting point between the public administration and the energy sector to strengthen collaboration in the areas of ecological transition, technological innovation, and circular economy."
The local minister has positively valued Moeve's efforts to lead a cleaner, more efficient, and environmentally-friendly energy model, highlighting the importance of initiatives like this to move towards a greener and more resilient Andalusia.
Today's event has also served to recognize the work carried out by professionals who, through science, engineering, and environmental management, make more responsible and respectful energy possible for future generations.
Moeve, with its Positive Motion strategy, plans to invest up to 5 billion euros in Andalusia by 2030 to lead the production of green hydrogen and biofuels, contributing to the decarbonization of key sectors. With a strong presence in Palos and Campo de Gibraltar, the company is developing the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, the largest project in Europe, which will prevent up to 6 million tons of CO2 per year through two 2 GW capacity plants in Huelva and Cadiz.
